Being a Stow Safety Town Volunteer is a big responsibility. Stow Safety Town will accept 18 volunteers for each class. In order to be eligible, you must be at minimum going into the 9th grade this Fall (2026) or the maximum a Senior in High School. To be selected, please fill out the online application by Friday, May 15, 2026. Stow Youth Services will complete a police background check.

If selected, you will be required to attend a mandatory volunteer meeting on Thursday, June 4 from 4:00-5:00 pm at the Stow Safety Center, located at 3800 Darrow Road. This mandatory meeting will give you the opportunity to meet the instructors and learn what will be expected of you.

Safety Town will be held in the Community Room at the Stow Safety Center, 3800 Darrow Road. You will need to be there 15 minutes before each session starts, and be responsible for approximately 2-3 children in your assigned color group. You will need to make arrangements for your transportation each day.

The dates for Safety Town are below. Please be sure to indicate the class or classes you wish to work on your application.

June 8-June 12: AM Class 8:30-11:00; PM Class 12:00-2:30

June 15-June 19: AM Class 8:30-11:00; PM Class 12:00-2:30
